British model Amy Jackson in Malayalam Movie

British model Amy Jackson is set appear in the upcoming Malayalam film Spanish Masala directed by Lal Jose.

Amy will be pairing with Dileep under the direction of Lal Jose in this new movie titled Spanish Masala.
The movie will tell the love story of a Spanish girl and Malayalayee boy. The Dileep and Lal Jose team has done hit movies like Meesha madhavan, Chandupottu in past years. Lal Jose’s recent movie was with kunchako boban and Ann Augustine titled ‘Elsamma enna aankutty.

‘Avalude Ravukal' for a remake!

One of the bold movies in the history of Malayalam cinema, Avalude Ravukal (1978), directed by veteran I.V. Sasi with Seema in the lead role as teenage prostitute, will soon have a sequel.

According to sources, popular producer Liberty Basheer, will produce the sequel. The first question from all is that who will plays the role of Raji, played by Seema in the original?

The film crew approach Priyamani for it and waiting for her date. Vijayaraghavan will play Soman's role, while Mamukkoya will be seen in the role played by late Kuthiravattan Pappu. Seema will also join the cast. This untitled sequel is scripted by Aleppey Ashraf, who wrote the original. R.K. Damodharan will pen the lyrics, while Berny Ignatious will score music. Rathinirvedam makes Rs 2 cr profit

Rathinirvedam, has made nearly Rs. 2 crores profit in its opening week.The movie is produced by Menaka Suresh Kumar. Shwetha Menon-starrer film has been made with the budget of Rs. 1.55 crores and it has collected Rs. 3.15 at the Box Office. The producer is now hoping that the film would do even better earning in its long run.

Rathinirvedam has received average reviews from the film critics. But its provocative posters and trailers drove the movie buffs crazy towards the theatres. The movie had made a profit of Rs. 50 lakhs before its release and its run in cinema halls for a week has added Rs. 1.15 crore to it.

Arrest warrant against Ramya Krishna

Actress Ramya Krishna and her sister Vinaya Krishnan are arrested under bailable warrant further to the complaint lodged by Kutti Padmini. Kutti Padmini has claimed that the sisters have violated a contractual agreement for a ‘Kalasam’ , which is a Sun TV serial where she was not honored as the creative head for the serial as agreed earlier. It was agreed earlier that Kutti Padmini would serve as the creative head and be paid accordingly but the same was not included in the agreement.

Members of Society of Television Production, South India has settled the disputes between the sisters and Kutti Padmini over this stipulation and a fresh contract was signed with all the concerned agreements. The issue was comforted after that.

When Kalasam was started in Andhra, things came to a head again. Kutti Padmini has stated that her name is not in the credits and this is a disobedience of the contract. Ramya Krishna was not available for giving explanation, but we hear her lawyer is trying to have the warrant revoked.
