Mamta is now heading in for a divorce from her childhood friend Pregith Padmanabhan. Incidentally, Mamta got engaged to Pregith in grand style on 11.11.11 and she has reportedly made a formal announcement of legal separation on 12.12.12.

The duo have realized that they are two different types of people who cannot live with each other for long. They have already started living separately. Mamta said that everyone tries to mend some things to lead a happy life. But her married life has drained her completely, it was work that kept her going and kept her happy. Not revealing what exactly triggered this major decision, Mamta said that it was a tough time for her and her family. She is grateful that her family and friends have stood beside her during tough times.

Mamta Mohandas has acted in Yamadonga, Kedi, Homan, Chintakayala Ravi and King. The second leading lady who was paired opposite Jr NTR in Yamodonga is facing a tough phase in life with positive attitude. Mamta who is a cancer survivor, got married to Pregith on 28th December 2011 at Kozhikode.

Delhi HC issues civil warrant against Prithviraj

Delhi High Court has issued a civil warrant against actor Prithviraj.

The warrant is on a copyright infringement claim, filed by Canadian singer Loreena McKennitt, over a song, "Aaro nee aaro," in the Malayalam movie “Urumi” starring Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Arya, Genelia D'Souza, Nithya Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar and Vidya Balan.

McKennitt had claimed that music director Deepak Dev's composition - "Aaro Nee Aaro" featuring Prithviraj and Genelia D'Souza was directly lifted from two of her own compositions, "Caravanserai" and "The Mummers Dance".

Apart from Prithviraj, the warrant has also been issued against director of the movie Santhosh Sivan and the producer Shaji Natesan.

The Delhi HC has handed over the direction to issue the warrant to the district court of Thiruvananthapuram.

Sunanda Pushkar slaps youth trying to misbehave with her at airport

Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Shashi Tharoor, the newly sworn in Minister of State for HRD, lost her cool at the airport during the reception accorded to him at the airport in the capital city. Youth Congress and KSU activists along with senior activists were present in the airport to receive the union minister.

A youth among some others tried to misbehave with her and Sunanda, who lost her cool, slapped him and tried to push her way through. Immediately, two came to the rescue and escorted her outside.
