Kajal Aggarwal causes 2 crores loss!

Kajal Aggarwal causes 2 crores loss!Kajal Aggarwal might have just lost a big project opposite the happening Mahesh Babu. The successful 'Businessman' pair was supposed to be repeated in an upcoming Telugu movie to be directed by Sukumar. A lavish song was also shot with Mahesh, Kajal and 1000 group dancers at a cost of 2 crores.

Now, Kajal wasn't able to allot 30 bulk days over the last two months for this project as she is busy with her Tamil films. The makers were left in the lurch and have now been left with no other option but to look for an appropriate replacement for Kajal.

Now, the lavish song that was shot will count as a loss for the producer as they scout for a new heroine, preferably a tall Bollywood model. Kajal meanwhile might be roped in for a new Tamil film opposite 'Eeram' Aadhi to be produced by Aadhi himself. This film will be directed by Aadhi's elder brother Sathya Prakash and is planned as a complete commercial entertainer.

Ban on A Certificate films telecast on TV

Ban on A Certificate films telecast on TV
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has banned the telecast of all the A certificate films on Television. Earlier, the Censor Board used to re-certify the films for TV for making it eligible for TV screening and those films were permitted to telecast at late night hour (11 pm). However, the CBFC has now decided to stop the re-certifying of A certificate films completely. This decision was taken by the board in accordance with the provisions of Cinematography Act 1952.

This decision has stirred a controversy as this would insure losses to the production houses which are making a big sum by selling Satellite Rights of their films. Bollywood and all the regional industries including Tollywood and Kollywood are going to be badly hit. Around 40% of its revenue comes from the Satellite Rights for a B-Town film and for South Films it is around 20%.

Critics were calling the ban on A-rated films as the mindless decision taken by CBFC. "Now-a-days, most of the top stars films were awarded A certificate by Censor Board. This means none of these films (ex: Businessman, Dammu, Adhinayakudu) can be screened on TV. Instead of imposing ban on them, why can't they re-censor the content as per TV standards," opined a film critic.

Incidentally, Mohanlal is expected to return from his London holiday only after 20 days. However, the star is expected to dive in to work immediately. His first is the Malayalam film Karmayodha, to be directed by Major Ravi. Looks like he will have to bend over backwards to be able to make time for a Kannada venture.
