The puja for the remake of the cult film ‘Rathinirvedam’was held on Friday. K.P.A.C. Lalitha, Radhalakshmi and Rajamma (spouses of Bharathan, Padmarajan and producer Haripothen respectively) lighted the lamp with their sons Sidharth, Anantha Pathmanabhan and Asad. Krishnachandran, who played the lead role of Appu in the original, and cameraman Ramachandra Babu were present.The film is produced by Suresh Kumar and directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar. Shwetha will don Jayabharathi's role.
