Asin's bikini avatar in Housefull 2

Asin is all set to play the lead role in Sajid Nadiadwala-directed Housefull 2. For the first time, Asin will don a never-before-seen glamorous avatar including sarongs and sizzling swimwear.

Helmer Sajid expressed his won take, saying, "I am very excited about working with Asin; not only is she a very good actor and dancer but also a superstar in the south. Our script demanded her in a new look, which will surprise the audience completely." Sajid added.

Arrest Warrant against Rajinikanth's wife & daughter

Latha Rajinikanth and Soundarya were served with an arrest warrant by the Saidapet Magistrate Court in Chennai following a cheque bounce case. They had obtained a loan amounting to 20 lakhs from Sumarchand Bafna and issued a cheque when he demanded the dues.

They issued two cheques, dated December 1, 2010, towards repayment, but the cheques bounced. He filed a complaint on December 24, 2010 at the magistrate court. Based on the complaint the ladies were summoned to appear in court before January 19. Since they failed to do so, the arrest warrant was issued and the matter adjourned till yesterday. Latha and Soundarya did not come for the hearing yesterday and this resulted in court ordering the warrant to be executed by March 9.

To avoid the impending arrest the matter was settled out of court. Sumerchand filed a petition later in the day to that effect and requested permission to withdraw the complaint, which the court obliged.

Srijith is Rathinirvedam hero

Actor Srijith, who plays a meaty role in Fazil's Living Together, has been confirmed as the hero in the forthcoming remake of Bharathan's classic Rathinirvedam.

Swetha Menon is in the feamle lead. Since the hero hunt is over the film will start rolling by this week at Mavelikkara.

Director Rajeevkumar is planning to wrap the shooting within 25 days.

Sreesanth In World Cup Squad

S Sreesanth has been given a berth in the 2011 world up squad. The confirmation that comes just eleven days before the world cup is due to the unavailability of injury-hit Praveen Kumar.

The omission of Sreesanth from the world cup squad had earlier raised many eyebrows, as he was among the leading wicket takers in the past season. Recently, when Krishnamchari Sreekanth, Chairman of Selectors, had visited Trivandrum, he had avoided reporters questions on Sreesanth’s omission. He then said that the team selection had already been done and he had nothing to add to it.
