Big B agrees to act in Malayalam film
Big B has agreed to act in a Malayalam film. The bollywood icon gave his consent to actor Mohanlal after he requested Amitabh Bachchan to act with him in a Malayalam film directed by noted film-maker Major Ravi.Mohanlal an ardent fan of the actor said, "I’m so happy that he did not reject the offer.” Amitabh accepted the offer when Mohanlal and Major Ravi met him.
The film would be based on the Kandahar incident. Mohanlal will enact Col Mahadevan, the role he played in Keerthichakra. Amitabh, who is staying in Le Meriden, will leave the state today.
The bollywood icon presented the newsmaker award to Resul Pookutty at a function organized by a private channel.
Super hit movie ‘Rajavinte Makan’ for a remake
The film which catapulted Mohanlal to superstardom ‘Rajavaninte Makan’ will be soon remade in Malayalam. The makers of the original movie, its director Thampi Kannanthanam and script writer Dennis Joseph has been called on for the discussion by Mohanlal's man Friday Antony Perumbavoor.As per the latest reposrts the team has agreed to go in for a remake, rather than a follow-up. The project to be produced by Ashirwad Cinema will also feature Suresh Gopi in the prominent role that he played in the original. It may be noted Suresh Gopi also came to attention with this movie.
