Narain, a Malayalee made his debut in Malayalam, but of late, he has taken on a Tamil identity, by doing more Tamil movies and even shifting his home to Chennai. After Minnaminnikoottam, he is back in Malayalam after a long gap with Bhagyadevatha and the forthcoming Robinhood.
Buzz up!When enquired about his preference for Tamil movies, Narain has his reasons right and clear that you cannot deny, but agree with him. After For the People and the successful Achuvinte Amma, Narain sought refuge in Tamil, when success courted him with Chithiram Pesuthadi, Anjathe and others. The sweet success was all the more tastier, as it was a solo hero role. That a Malayalam artist, a new comer, was relishing success in Tamil was in itself a big feat.
Tamil cinema has been changing with a fresh breed of young directors and actors coming forward to make sensible yet sensitive cinema. Taking the cue Narain has cleverly decided to opt for sensible movies in Tamil, rather than sitting idle in the Malayalam film industry. He painfully notes that though there are filmmakers coming with fresh subjects, producers are not willing to invest in them
Hope this actor's words are ringing loud for the Malayalam industry to wake up from its slumber and revive its long lost glory.
