The super talented Samuthirakani who is known for his skills of direction also proved his mettle as an actor in Malayalam.

He played the role of a Telugu naxalite leader who gets killed through a fake encounter. It is heard that Samuthirakani recites a Telugu poem and that has connected very well with the audience giving his character a strong punch. It is now heard that he is being flooded with offers from Mollywood.

Prabhu-Nayanthara won the best close-up couple award at the South Scope Awards 2010 instituted by South Scope magazine, who plan to get married in December.

The awards were presented to the winners by the evergreen Sridevi on Sunday night at a colorful function held at Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad.

Priyamani's liplock with Sumanth?

Priyamani will be seen in a liplock scene with Sumanth in a forthcoming film. The film directed by debut Vigisipi Vishtaa and produced by Kumar Brothers. This is the first such scene both for Priyamani and Sumanth.

The director decided to include a liplock scene in this romantic flick after watching the terrific chemistry between Sumanth and Priyamani on the sets. Rim Jhim is said to be the titled under consideration for this flick. Vimala Raman is the second heroine.
