Tharoor may get engaged to Sunanda Pushkar!

According to reliable sources, politician Shashi Tharoor may well be getting engaged to the woman he loves -- Sunanda Pushkar -- at Sanjay Khan's luxury hotel Golden Palms Resort and Spa Bangalore on June 27 this year.
Says a source, "Sunanda has been discussing her engagement plans with close friends in Mumbai and Dubai. She's thrilled and wants to share the good news with friends and family."

Apparently, Sanjay is popular within Congress circles. He frequently visits Delhi and during one such visit met Shashi at a party. They became friendly and Khan's wife Zarine invited Shashi and Sunanda to stay at the Golden Palms.

The source adds that the couple took up the invite and spent the weekend at the hotel with friends during the first week of April -- a week before his resignation. "In fact, the two loved their stay there so much that they decided to have their engagement at the resort. The ceremony will take place in June and the marriage within the next six months. It's all hush-hush until the details are finalised."

Khan claims to be ignorant about the bookings made at his hotel for the event. "I am not in Delhi and go to Bangalore only for a day or so. I haven't been to the city in the last 15 days. I will have to check with my staff if the resort has a booking listed for Shashi for such an event on June 27. But even if it's true, I can't reveal confidential information to outsiders."

He adds, "But of course, I'd love it if Shashi had his engagement ceremony here at the Golden Resorts. He's a fine gentleman and a great person known to me on a personal level."
But what about Shashi-Sunanda's previous stay at his hotel? "They haven't stayed at my resort," claims Sanjay.

Shashi Tharoor remained unavailable for comment despite attempts made to contact him via email, SMS and over the phone. Sunanda Pushkar didn't reply to an email we sent her either.

Tamannah is better than Kareena: Karthi

Even as rumour mills working overtime saying Karthi Sivakumar and Tamannah are seeing each other, the ‘Paiyaa’ hero has said that he was awestruck by the complexion of his ladylove in the movie.

“When I was working as an assistant to Mani Ratnam, Kareena Kapoor stunned me with her skin tone on the sets of ‘Yuva’. But I later realised that Tamannah is fairer than Kareena when I met her first for Paiyaa,” the young actor has said in an interview.

He added: “The girl was so fair that she was shining bright than the white dress she was wearing. I admire her a lot.” Karthi is however careful in denying reports on his alleged relationship with Tamannah.

“Some say I have recommended her for my forthcoming film. There is no truth in it and Tamannah no more needs recommendations. The makers of the movie, who felt that our chemistry was great in ‘Paiyaa’, decided to cast us together again,” he said.

Singer Swetha engaged to Ashwin

Daughter of famous singer Sujatha, Swetha got engaged to Ashwin at a grand function at Chennai. Last year’s state award winning playback singer, Swetha's engagement function was attended by director Priyan, Lissy and other important singers of the south. The wedding is scheduled for the 16th of January next year.

The wedding proposals of the talented singer will not come as a surprise to people of Kerala , as this was earlier announced by a popular magazine who had done a cover feature with the singing family and Ashwin.

Swetha who had proved herself to be a versatile singer in a short career of few years and had already sang for films in all south Indian languages and in Hindi. Her latest hit includes the song ''Oh Maha Zeeya'' for the Tamil hit 'Thamizh Padam'

I’ll marry shortly: Prakash Raj

Leading Actor Prakash Raj said that he would marry a girl of selection soon. Recently he got divorced from his actress-wife Lalitha Kumari recently.
