Tax freedom for ‘Pazhassi Raja’
The historical Malayalam movie ‘Pazhassi Raja’ will get tax exemption. The Kerala State Government has decided to give a tax exemption in the ticket rates. The government has offered a fifty percent exemption in tax rates for this Mammootty starer, which is the biggest budgeted film ever to be made in Malayalam. Previous the producers has demanded a hike in ticket rates for quite some days but the government did not pay heed to their demands. And now the Mamooty’s fans and opening week viewers who were earlier planning to watch the movie with higher rates than usual can have their watch with lesser ticket charges.The movie Produced by Gokulam films. And the movie is now ready to grace the theatres by this 16. The prints and Digital copies are all ready and the movie select for the biggest ever release in 125 centres, all across the state. In the capital city, ‘Pazhassi Raja’ will open in 4 theatres with a shared seating capacity of 4000, while in Ernakulam and Calicut, the movie will open in 3 centres each. The plans of the producers seems to be to grab in, the maximum of the initial collections. And with the publicity the movie is getting, its is almost sure that it will earn the biggest of the opening week collections ever registered in Malayalam Box Office.
No ticket hike for Pazhassi Raja!
Gokulam films, the producers of magnum opus ‘Pazhassi Raja’ have decided not to hunt the demand for a ticket hike. Pazhassi Raja will now release on 16th as per the recent intimations. The Mamooty fans associations have been making all the grand preparations to receive the biggest of Mammootty's movies. Pazhassi Raja is expected to open in 120 centres in the state of Kerala, for this Diwali.The movie makers also decided for a ticket hike. The only movie that managed the tempo even with a ticket raise was AMMA's ‘Twenty: 20’. The movie was offered with a 50 percent ticket raise for the first three days.
But the trick worked in favour of the movie, as it paraded almost all popular stars of the industry in smaller or bigger roles. ‘Twenty: 20’ easily went on to become one of the biggest hits of last year.
