Italian actor in Malayalam film

'In Love with Kerala', Malayalam film to be directed by Aneesh J. Karinad, casting Italian actor Vincenzo Bocciarelli and Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas to do the lead.

They are supported by Manoj K.Jayan, Thilakan, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy and others. It will be a joint venture of Global movie makers and Tourism Movie Makers. Italian based Dr. Daisy Chacko has penned the screen play for the film.

Vincenzo dons the role of a painter from Italy, who is a great fan of Raja Ravi Varma and Mamta as the model for Ravi Varma paintings. The story tells the love between the painter and the model.

The shooting locations will be the main 15 tourism centres including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Calicut. The film will profusely expose Kerala's culture, Tourism centres and art forms.

English and Malayalam version of this film will be shot and produced at the same time. Later the film will be translated into German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu languages.

It will be a 2010 release. Film will be screened in tourism centres also. Cultural minister M.A Baby inaugurated the production works at Thiruvananthapuram last week.

Actor Vijay enters politics!

The question whether Superstar Rajinikanth will enter politics has been debated for a very long time. But in the meantime, another star is all set to enter the realm of politics.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay launched Vijay Makkal Iyakkam at Pudukottai on Sunday. Though this is not a full-fledged political party, it is one step towards the same. Thousands of his fans were present at the occasion to support him.

It may be recalled that the actor unveiled his flag on his birthday last year. Vijay said that Vijay Makkal Iyakkam would be a testing ground for his fans and supporters.

It would be launched in several districts across Tamil Nadu; if the response was good, the actor would take the plunge into politics within a year.

Vijay also inaugurated two computer training centres and distributed aid to poor and destitute women on the occasion.

Kavya back in films

Kavya Madhavan has decided to re-enter the tinsel world after bidding adieu to all the controversies. When all the controversies were doing the rounds, the actress was relieved by the offers she got. She rejected most of the offers as she wanted to choose the best.

At last, she decided to re-enter the industry by choosing the character offered by Joshi opposite Mohanlal. She is keeping herself busy now by attending inaugural functions. She recently attended an inaugural function in Kannur and will also inaugurate the Parakkat Jewels showroom in Kochi on August 24.

Her marriage to Nishal Chandra, a native of capital city and a bank official in Kuwait was held on February 12 at the Mookambika Temple.

Family problems started after she came back from her honeymoon in Egypt. The actress later decided to part ways with her husband. The actress has decided not to grab all the roles that come her way, she has decided to be choosy.
