Bharathan's classic Rathi Nirvedam, will be remade in Malayalam by veteran producer Suresh Kumar. Jayabharathi and Krishnachandran in the lead of this movie. Movie will be remade in Malayalam by producer Suresh Kumar with newcomers in the lead.The remake will be directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar and the shoot will start on September 3 in Nilambur.
Rathi Nirvedam revolves around a school boy Pappu in a small village, who falls in love with an older girl from the neighborhood Rathi (Jayabharathi). Rathi Nirvedam was one of the 'A' certified movies in the 70s.
